James Lingo Maring is an Afro-beats/Afro-pop artist from East Africa (South Sudan ) based in the USA, born to South Sudanese Parents in Uganda and grew up in a Refugee Camp in Kenya. He is known by his stage name Doctor Jaymoe. Doctor Jaymoe believes music is a universal language understood by all and that’s why his approach to music is unique. He is influenced by Bongo Flavour and Ugandan music, which, leads to his artistic creativity. He is influenced by his favorite artists in Tanzania such as Harmonize, Alikiba, Diamond Platnumz, Belle 9, and others. Doctor Jaymoe's not only limited to East Africa but aspires to expand internationally. His goal is to put the music of South Sudan on the global map. His humbled beginnings shapes how he interacts with others through music.
